Anxiety can get the better of us especially during uncertain and chaotic times such as those which we are experiencing now. So, it's extremely important to take care of ourselves not just physically, but mentally as well. I have personally been feeling more anxious the past few weeks, so I was really thankful to get an email the other day from chiropractor Dr. John Filo, of Yonge Finch Chiropractic & Acupuncture Clinic, offering a guided meditation session, which he is more than happy for me to share with all of you!

In a previous video which you can find here, Dr. Filo gives many useful tips on how to stay healthy during this time. In regards to anxiety, Dr. Filo states that "Anxiety from a holistic standpoint, is a future oriented mindset." He mentions that when faced with danger, the body naturally goes into fight or flight mode which is normal, but when the body is in this state for a prolonged period of time, it can become problematic. He then goes on the say that right now, many of us are worrying about the pandemic and have many questions about how it's going to affect us so our minds are constantly thinking about the future and not being able to focus on the present. That's why anxiety levels are shooting up.

The 10 minute guided meditation session will be just what you need to step back a bit, to relax and bring everything back to the present moment.
